- Hi! My name is Allie, I am 32 years old and am passionate about my job as a dietician. Living a healthy and active life has always been a passion of mine. Ever since I was a student athlete in college at Oregon State University, running crosscountry, I wanted to know how to best fuel my body to better perform and this is how I first got into the field of dietetics. I majored at Oregon State University in Dietetics and continued to live an active lifestyle of running and working out (weight lifting, yoga, etc) to the present day. I usually run a few races (half marathons, relays, 10ks) per year and always am pushing myself to improve my fitness, physique and become a better me, phsycially, mentally and emotionally. Food and exercise I believe are good for the soul! Working out/running/doing a HIIT bootcamp or yoga session are my "me time" and essential to me to maintain balance in my life. I also love eating and food but understand you are what you eat and like to say I practice what I preach. I love healthy eating and notice a differnce when I stick to clean eating and the results I see in terms of muscle/toning and body composition. I have loved the opportunities I have had in my career so far helping people from a holistic approach and general wellness and nutrition and weight loss as well as now at my current job being able to help people improve their nutrition and health from a clinical perspecitve line of work working as an outpatient dietitian for a local hospital.
I am registered and licensed dietician through the Comission of Dietetic Registration and through the State of Oregon and State of Washington for going on 5 years. I have been working in the healthcare/dietetics field for 8.5 years. I have loved the interactions and impact I am able to make on people's health and nutrition daily.
