Yoga has been a constant in my life for nearly 15 years. Coming to yoga as a teenager, with typical teenaged vulnerabilities, yoga crumbled down paradigms I had created about myself and helped me find strength and confidence. Yoga remained a constant source of grounding for me through college, as I juggled being a full-time student, worker, and volunteer; through a stint living and working in Latin America managing volunteers in community centers, orphanages, and environmental conservation projects; and eventually as I moved across the country to make a permanent home in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, my yoga practice helps me manage stress as I spend hours on end studying as a Somatic Psychology graduate student .
As I have grown, so has my relationship with yoga. In 2014, I completed my 200-Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training at Laughing Lotus in San Francisco under the guidance of Jasmine Tarkeshi. I have since completed further training in Power Yoga, Hot Power Fusion, and Yoga Sculpt at CorePower Yoga in Berkeley.
I teach classes that are creatively sequenced as influenced by my love of dance and movement, high energy, and most importantly lighthearted and fun. I believe that by finding a way to smile and breathe through the obstacles we face on our yoga mats, we gives ourselves the skills to take the yoga into our day to day challenges. I hope to see you on your mat. Namaste.
