I'm Coach Kenny. I am a current tennis coach in the Washington D.C. area. I began playing tennis at the age of 8 in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Growing up I competed in sectional, national, and international junior competitions. I was ranked as high as number 1 in my age group in the USTA Caribbean section at various times in my junior career. Being a nationally ranked junior I competed all over the country in USTA tournaments. I also won multiple ATA national championships. Additionally, I played division 1 college tennis at the University of Louisville and Howard University. Traveling internationally to compete in Davis Cup and the Pan American Games for the Virgin Islands was a life changing experience for me.
I began coaching over 20 years ago. As a coach I have worked with beginner level players, intermediate level players, nationally ranked players, national junior champions, college players, and aspiring professional players. Also, I was the former Davis Cup and Pan American Games coach for the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, I hold certifications from USPTA, USPTR, USTA High Performance, and Cardio tennis. I hope to continue my tennis education and earn more teaching certifications in order to help my students.
In my spare time, I'm a huge sports fan and love to travel. I like movies, music, working out, and listening to audio books. I also love being with friends and family.
