-----------------------------

I found health and wellness through my personal health journey.
Not long ago, I was a successful endurance running athlete climbing the corporate ladder at a Fortune 100 company. Between trying to balance competition/training, my career, volunteer work, and all other important aspects of life.... I burned out. To make matters more challenging, I had quite literally run myself into a state of disease (autoimmune, to be exact).

I dedicated all of the time I used to spend running to research and educating myself on health and functional medicine (which seeks to address the root cause of disease). A little over two years later, I had virtually reversed all markers of autoimmunity. Healing is a constant process and a journey - not a destination. While I'm working on it every day, I discovered that my true passion is in raising awareness and giving people hope that a diagnosis is not a life sentence. I eventually earned my Functional Medicine Health Coaching Certification in May 2017.

Then, I found yoga.
Yoga gave me a sense of peace that I never experienced with running. Incorporating yoga into my life and way of living has been a transformational, and I most celebrate the moments where I can introduce yoga to a new practitioner or help someone deepen their practice -- particularly those who living the corporate life, stressed-out, sick, tired, and no longer able to connect to the present moment. I've been there.

I am a unique teacher.
I was fortunate to train under a quantum healer. I'm trained as an energetic yoga teacher, matching practices with the "feel" of the room/group. I can "see" energy moving throughout the room and sense what students are feeling (emotionally, physically). As a health coach, I can also tie back what we're feeling, the benefits of a pose, and how yoga works to improve the whole body and mind.

My experience includes teaching beginner yogis who have never practiced before as well as those who are Level 2+.  I am  very confident with large groups or small/privates. I love to keep it light, keep it fun, and incorporate a little bit of challenge in each class! Whether it's a level 2/3 arm balance, or simply guiding a new yogi deeper into forward fold, I look forward to bringing peace, love, and light to all I'm blessed to teach.
