Yoga is my passion. I had several accidents and emotional issues which led me to take yoga classes. In 1997 I started teaching young juveniles. After that I decided I wanted to take it further and get my 200 hour certification from Yoga Allianc. In 2003 I graduated from Joyful Yoga in Florida with my 200 Hour Certification in Vinyasa Flow. After that I wanted to go a bit further and use my skills to help people who have emotional issues or injuries.
In 2010 I applied to and was accepted by the American Institute of Viniyoga . This was to get my additional 300 Hour Certificate in Foundations for Yoga Therapy.
I graduated in 2012 with their 300 Hour Certification. I then applied to Yoga Alliance and receied my 500 Hour ERYT level certiication.
In 2013 I applied to a Yoga Therapy two year advanced training with Gary Kraftsow, renowned International Yoga Therapist. This was an additional technically oriented training for another 1,000 hours. I graduated in August of 2015.
I am also a certified Barre and Pilates Instructor.
The training incorporated all levels of coping with injuries of the muscoskeletal area and also we studied the physiological aspects of teaching yoga. I am now equipped with the tools to handle a wide variety of problems and illnesses. Some include Anxiety, Ashtma, Parkinsons, Cancer, Depression, Addiction, Hyper Tension , Bi-Polar Disease, and many more issues.
It has been a rewarding experience and now I am at the point where i would like to travel and offer my services to others.
I teach vinyasa flow yoga, hatha yoga, viniyoga, pilates, barre, meditation.
