Ariane Mullen

My name is Ariane Mullen. I love travel, the outdoors, good books and movies, cooking, and…FITNESS!! I wasn’t an athlete growing up. Not a dancer. Not a runner. I was a soft, out of shape, tired, lazy kid. Not particularly overweight, but the epitome of the term “skinny-fat”.
Time passed as I shuffled along. I had five kids (not a typo!) and watched life from the sidelines. With each pregnancy, I gained 40 lbs and only lost 30. Ouch. Skinny Fat became just Fat Fat. But it’s not REALLY about weight now, is it!? My weight was just a symptom of the fact that I was just not healthy. I saw a picture of myself one day in 2008 and wondered, “Where did I go?” That was my D-Day. DONE DAY.
I started small. It took effort, time, and grit. Starting at 31 years old, I took control, and changed myself dramatically within a year, and jumped off the sidelines and into the game. Now eight years later, I feel and look better than I did when I was 18. As I was changing people started asking me what I was doing, and how. I realized I wasn’t alone in this challenge and that I had something to offer. I started helping people in my spare time and it quickly became my passion.
There is nothing BETTER than seeing the belief in a person that says “I can’t” be replaced by the realization, “I DID!!”
I am a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a certified group fitness instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and Schwinn. My favorites are HITT training and Kickboxing. I especially enjoy working with moms who feel they’ve lost the capability to be fit, feel young, and live vivaciously, due to having given their body in the service of bearing children. My passion is to embark on a journey with you where together, we challenge the belief, “I can’t because I never have.” (P.S. We slay that belief.)
If you’re fit and looking to achieve increased fitness, I am excited to work with you and break through barriers! And if you’re a man, woman, or teenager who also “isn’t an athlete” like I wasn’t…well I’m here to tell you–you just aren’t one yet. You absolutely can be. You’ll be amazed at what you can and will do.
