Lisa Popovich

Lisa Popovich began her journey of yoga in 2006 while living and working as a designer in NYC.  It was yoga and meditation that helped create balance in her life while living the fast paced city.  Yoga started out as a home practice, watching Shiva Rea and Rodney Yee, and reading philosophy books by Ekhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer and Thich Nhat Hhan. It was here that Lisa found her calling in the world of yoga and mindfulness.  
 
For Lisa, yoga has been a way of quieting the mind, strengthening the mind/ body connection and grounding  her into the present moment. Through the physical act of practicing yoga, mediation, and breath work, she has found the tools needed to find peace. Taking influences of both Ashtanga and Hatha yoga styles, Lisa's classes are intelligently sequenced to set students up for success. With a focus on mindful movement and correct alignment, students are prepped to safely move into an "apex" pose. Lisa weaves philosophy, breath work and meditation into her classes, reminding students to stay present, enjoy the journey, and have fun. Her goal is for students to find their own balance of effort and ease, without pushing beyond their limits to unlock the flow within.
