Brandon Feldman

Coaching Career Coach Feldman is beginning his fourth year at Oxford as the men's and women's head coach. The 2005_2006 season saw Coach Feldman lead the OC Men's team to the school's first NJCAA III National Championship, and the women place third in their first trip to the National Tournament as a team. The men's team currently has 13 NJCAA 1st Team All-Americans and 11 2nd Team All-Americans, while the women have 1 1st Team All-American and 4 2nd Team All-Americans. Multiple ITA Awards, for playing, leadership and academics have also been earned over the past three years. Brandon Feldman came to Georgia following a year at NCAA Division III powerhouse Washington College. While working with the Sho'men, Feldman helped coach 3 All-Americans, help guide the men's team to a spot in the NCAA Tournament and final ranking of 16 in the Nation, and achieve a national ranking for the women's team of 26. Coach Feldman says, "The opportunity to work in a program that had won 2 National Titles in under 10 years showed me how hard work and professionalism breeds success. I hope to take those lessons that I learned from the coaching staff and players and implement them at Oxford College in an effort to get the most out of our athletes here. My ultimate aspiration is to show our players that they are capable of reaching deep down and achieving goals on the court, just as they hope to in the classroom and in life. Prior to Washington College, Brandon spent 2 years as a USPTA certified tennis pro in Miami, FL at Sans Souci Tennis Center. This followed his graduate work, part of which included a stint under Kim Sands as an assistant coach for the University of Miami Women's Tennis Team. Education Feldman did his graduate studies in Exercise Physiology at the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL). He earned his undergraduate degree in Government, with a minor in coaching at Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY). College Career Brandon spent his college playing days with the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds. Feldman took pride in always being the hardest working guy on the court and hopes his Oxford players will exhibit that same attitude. Armed with a big serve and volley game, Feldman's style was one that was unusual in an era of big groundstrokes and winners. He improved his game in the offseason between his Sophomore and Junior seasons, earning him the team's Most Improved Player that year. The following year, playing #2 singles and #1 doubles, Brandon was named Co-Captain of the Thoroughbreds. High School At J.P. Taravella High School (Coral Springs, FL, Class of '92), Brandon's Trojans were annual contenders in a talent filled district. Having gone to the State 4A Tournament 2 out of his 4 years at JPT, Brandon won his individual flight at Districts 4 years in a row. With a ranking in the top 30 in Florida, Brandon also had wins over players ranked in the top 10 in the South and Eastern regions of the USTA. Personal Brandon Bennett Feldman was born on November 9, 1973 in New York, NY and lives in Oxford, GA with his wife, Tiffany and daughter, Davina.
