Maria is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. She started practicing yoga in high school as a way to complement her dance training and to add in a different workout to her routine. In college, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During this time, she discovered how yoga is not only a just a physical practice the benefits it can have on the mind and spirit as well. Upon graduating, she decided to take the next step in her practice and complete teacher training at the 200 level. Since earning her certification to teach yoga, she has been actively teaching full time in her community not only as a yoga teacher but a group fitness professional as well.
