Becky Scoggins

With humble origins in the corporate arena, I spent over 15 years in marketing, advertising and public relations for large and small companies alike. My journey with weight loss eventually led me to yoga, which turned out to be the very change my sedentary life needed. Now years later, my passion for health and wellness enabled me to obtain my RYT-200 certification, which I utilize to teach students of all shapes, sizes and abilities. Specializing in stress and anxiety, trauma, PTSD and at-risk populations, I share my love of yoga by equipping my students to tackle any challenge in life with a no-frills, down-to-earth approach to each class or practice. I am also a certified instructor in BUTI Yoga, a yoga style that combines tribal dance, primal movement, power yoga and plyometrics into a calorie-torching, insanely fun practice. 

I am a hard-core yogi, with a RYT-200 instructor certification through the Yoga Alliance, and am also an ACE-certified Personal Trainer and ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor.

So what’s my philosophy on health and wellness? First and foremost, if you’re looking to lose weight, gain confidence, eat better or change your life, I’ve been right where you are. Being healthy is a lifestyle. It’s not a fad or a temporary way to get weight off fast. My yoga and fitness programs work to change your behaviors, but more importantly, they provide a strong community of support and accountability. Whether you need health coaching on ways to improve sleep, manage stress or eat better, or personal training or group fitness to increase cardiovascular health and muscular endurance or strength, I can provide a network of support for you. You aren’t in your struggle alone.

My services include:

  • Personal Training – one-on-one or couples (friends or spouses)
  • Women’s Only Group Fitness – non-intimidating group fitness classes designed to target trouble areas specifically in women
  • Innovative Yoga Classes – cardio, plyometrics, tribal dance and yoga all combined into a power yoga class called Buti Yoga®, as well as traditional yoga styles for well-rounded mobility and fitness
  • Health Coaching – helping you make better choices to improve sleep, manage stress or plan meals for a more balanced diet
  • Networking – meet other women with similar goals in an empowering environment where no one competes with each other, but builds each other up and encourages one another to reach their potential
