I have been a student of yoga for over 15 years and have been teaching for the last 7 years. I enjoy teaching both a physically challenging class as well as the quieter more introspective practices of yin and restorative yoga. My goal as a teacher is for my students to leave my class feeling empowered about themselves and their practice, with more energy than they came in with and the mental and physical strength to approach life with joy and confidence. My style of teaching is supportive and nurturing, with good precision on verbal cues, intelligent sequencing and positive language.
I teach many all-levels classes and always ensure that the class is accessible to a variety of students of different levels of experience and fitness. I feel this would be important in a resort setting as well.
I have also built and facilitate a Restorative Yoga Teacher Training in Ottawa, ON, Canada.
