I have grown up loving sports and anything that requires moving my body. I started doing yoga on and off in high school and through college. I realized practicing was something that I had a huge passion for, especially because it played a major factor in releasing anxiety that I struggled with at the time.
It was during my senior year in college, when I needed an internship to graduate, that I decided I would seek one out at a yoga studio. I wanted to learn the in's and out's of how a studio worked, as well as grow in my own knowledge and skill of the practice. It turns out this was one of the best decisions I have made thus far in my life.
My certification and background is in Baptiste yoga. This is basically a hot power vinyasa type of practice. It is my absolute favorite to practice and teach. However, I can easily take it down a notch to a hatha flow.
After completeing my internship and attaining my certification, I moved to Austin, Texas. It is here that I currently reside, recieving a certication in SUP yoga as well.
I have been teaching for about a year now and continue to seek out opportunities to further my education and experience.
