Jillian Russo

My name is Jillian, I have been a fitness instructor for a little over 2 years, and a dance insructor for 7 years. I graduated from Dean College in Franklin, MA in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in dance and minor in psychology. Following college graduation, I moved to New York City and began dancing for a professional jazz company while getting my certification in Pilates. In April 2015, I received Classical Pilates certification. The certification involved an 8 month intensive program of over 600 hours of observation, self-practice, teacher training, and anatomy. I began teaching Pilates mat and appartus classes as well as private sessions full-time at various studios and fitness facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn. At the start of 2016, I decided I wanted to go back to school for my graduate degree in physical therapy. I moved to CT for some of my studies while teaching at a Pilates studio in Norwalk, CT and at the start of 2017 moved back to New York where I am currently pursuing a phd at Columbia University. I still dance for the jazz company and teach Pilates full-time.
