Erick Goodlow

Erick L Goodlow “DJ G-Rock” was born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Community and the importance of giving back, was taught by his parents who were very active in the Summit University neighborhood.  A student athlete since Jr. High, Erick graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1989 and was one of the FIRST 10 Page Education Foundation Scholarship recipients. 

After High School Erick earned a BA in Management & Communications from Hamline University, and established his first business Rock Hard Productions (aka RHP Entertainment).  After undergrad he earned a Joint MA in Public Admin/Urban & Regional Studies from Minnesota State University Mankato (formally Mankato State).

 

In addition to continuing to provide music for special occasions all over the Midwest he spent his days in the public sector working for the Cities of Mankato and Bloomington, Erick has spent the last 20 years with Medtronic.  Starting out in  Operations & Customer Service where he elevated to Sr. Manager and currently in Corporate, Legal Operations and Risk Management as global Sr. Principal Business Continuity & Insurance Specialist.  Erick is also a Founding Partner of 4RM+ULA, LLP architectural and design firm whose projects include the Central Corridor Station Design and US Bank Stadium.

Erick remains active in the Community by volunteering and participating on municipal and nonprofit boards (Fairway Foundation, YWCA, and Saint Paul Park and Recreation Commission) and is currently St. Paul Central High School’s Boys Golf Coach.  He formerly was a member of the City of St. Paul’s Planning & Zoning Commission and coached football for 10 seasons at Jimmy Lee (Oxford community) Recreation Center.

A resident of the historic Rondo neighborhood of St. Paul he has three children Erick (22), Daevon (12) and Emory (4).  A lover of sports and music, as a professional DJ, Erick has a passion for being a positive role model to all youth.
