Connie Reeves

Connie Reeves began doing yoga in 2001 because as a professional ballroom dance teacher and competitor it helped to make her more flexible and balanced. Long term she found it helped with reducing aches, pains and injuries. After learning more about proper alignment and techniques and experiencing first hand the effects it had on her body she began to pursue teaching in 2008 to help her dance and future yoga students. Connie completed her IYT 200 hour RYT program at Haleybird Yoga in June 2016.

Connie’s focus is to work with students who are interested in learning proper alignment, technique, and restorative practices. She hopes to help people learn to be more in tune with their body, relieve aches and pains and possibly prolong the time they need before their body requires surgeries or medications. She also wants to empower people and help them to accept and take the time to give back to their lives.

Outside of yoga she has been a ballroom dance teacher for over 20 years and is certified as Highly Commended by the United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (USISTD) and ISTD (the European branch) and is ACE and AFAA Group Fitness Certified. She owns and operates her own studio Topline Studio. She also teaches ballroom at East Towne Ballrooms and at the Wauwatosa Lion’s Club. Connie teaches LaBlast Fitness and Senior Fitness for the Wauwatosa Recreation Department and Yoga Lite, Chair Yoga and Ballroom classes for the Wisconsin Athletic Club at three of their locations. She is married to James and has three cats. In her spare time she likes to hike, kayak, garden, sew, cook, ride motorcycles and travel.
