Peyton Scherff is a 21 year old student currently living in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where she attends the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. For the past 4 years Peyton has been pursuing a degree in nursing and is graduating in May of 2019 with a Bachelors In Nursing. It is at this University that Peyton found her passion for yoga and decided to pursue a yoga certification. However, from a very young age she has been passionate about wellness and fitness in many aspects of her life. Starting at the age of 12 she began training with tennis professionals to learn the sport of tennis. From these lessons, Peyton gained immeasurable experience and advice from tennis professionals to elevate her level of playing. By the time she reached her freshman year at Mukwonago High School, she was the #1 singles player on the varsity tennis team and held the top spot for the next 4 years. During her last year of varsity tennis, she went on to play at the State level in 2014. Not only did this journey of learning and perfecting a sport teach her confidence, time management, and discipline, but it also taught her how to maintain wellness in multiple aspects of her life. This passion for wellness carried over to her first year at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where she began the exploration into yoga. Peyton began her journey into yoga in her 20’s as a way to maintain her flexibility and strength through a gentle form of exercise. Additionally, she used yoga as a way to deal with stressors of school and maintain mental wellness as she pursued her degree. She soon realized there was much more to yoga than she expected. It became an exploration of mind, body, and soul and became a passion of hers. After teaching classes for a local personal trainer, Peyton maintained her Level One YogaFit certification. She is now ready to continue to inspire students and instil her teachings into students through her vinyasa style classes. Yoga has brought strength, balance, confidence and mindfulness to her life, and she is passionate about bringing these gifts to others.
