oxana naidina

Oxana’s first encounter with Yoga happened several decades ago in the beautiful snowy city of Moscow, Russia.  Oxana’s unconventional parents, who were themselves Hatha Yoga practitioners, insisted that she practiced asanas as part of her daily exercise routine.  They also encouraged her to read Sri Aurobindo and Svami Vivekananda works and to learn the most basic Shatkarma cleansing techniques.

In the early 1990’s, Oxana moved to New York and soon discovered that the job market for a Soviet era economist was nonexistent.  After a few odd jobs, with her first husband and a group of like-minded friends, Oxana started an Ayurvedic Panchakarma Treatment Center.   While working as a center manager and closely observing the practitioners and patients, she realized that all ancient esoteric systems are closely linked to material processes in the body.  Due to her interest in various healing modalities, she became a Reiki master and spend several months living in a monastic retreat upstate NY practicing mindfulness meditation.

After Oxana moved to Miami about 15 years ago, the demands of a new growing family, coupled with working in her husband’s design business led her to rediscover Yoga. Oxana started practicing Yoga on a regular basis as a means to combat stress.  In time Yoga unveiled itself to her as an ancient tradition of self-realization, which depends on a healthy body and a well-integrated mind.  According to Oxana, Yoga is alive and relevant today as much as it was 5000 years ago…we all need it.

In May of 2015 Oxana completed the RYT200 Teacher Training at PranaYoga under the guidance of Karina Ayn Mirsky, Rolf Solvik and Sandra Anderson and became a certified Tantric Hatha Yoga teacher. Her classes are dynamic, informative, and fun, and place a lot of emphasis on postural alignment and mind-body awareness.  Oxana encourages her students to “let be”; “let go” and “let in the Joy”.

In 2016 Oxana completed RYT 500 training with Cyndi Lee.  She enjoys teaching group Hatha Vinyasa, restorative yoga, private and corporate classes through multiple venues throughout Miami.
