Leslie Breen

Leslie Breen, MA, AFAA
Leslie Breen began her training at age nine in Chelmsford, MA. During high school she danced with Granite State Ballet, Scott Ranagan and Billy McLauglin at Bay State Ballet Theater in Lowell and Jeannette Neil Dance Studio in Boston and Adrienne Hawkins at Impulse in Boston.  She went on to major in dance at Connecticut College before transferring to UMASS, Amherst.  She was a UMASS Dance Team member and graduated with degrees in German Studies and Natural Resource Studies.  She then received her Masters in German Literature from Tufts University.  She moved to Arizona, completed her Associates Degree in Fine Arts Dance and 200 hour yoga certification at Scottsdale Community College. She became a certified dance instructor, K-12, through the Arizona Department of Education and a Dance Educator of America graduate.    In Arizona she taught dance full time, as a PE and Fine Arts teacher at Mesquite High School and Fountain Hills High School and Fountain Hills Middle School and coached two competitive high school dance teams. She attended Rhee Gold Teachers Dance Conference and several dance workshops at Arizona State University.  She has taught dance, yoga, conditioning and stretch at several local studios and was the head choreographer of Lynnfield High School’s musical production of Mame and The Boyfriend. She taught yoga at the Melrose YMCA for two years and received her ZUMBA license in March 2011. Leslie attended Dance Teacher Summit in NYC in 2013 and was inducted into the Dance Teacher Club of Boston in 2015. Most recently, Leslie attended Camp Woodward in Woodward, PA  as a parent staff member where she learned about gymnastics and took several hip hop classes.
