Born and attended school in Maine. College degrees in Chemical Engineering and business management. Retired early from the chemical business and began pursuing teaching and coaching tennis. Coached girls varsity tennis for 5 years at the Waynflete school in Portland, Maine and now the boys varsity coach the past 10 years.  Boys team has won 16 straight state championships.  Have coached 4 state singles champions, all have excelled in college tennis, one became a D3 All American. Active in developing USTA adult league tennis in Maine as a team captain, tournament volunteer, and leagues committee member.
