Paul Aikins

is a graduate from the Music Faculty at the University of Western Ontario and University of Toronto (OISE/UT)- specializing in voice and education.  He has worked in professional theatre for over twelve years. He has performed extensively across North America, including the acclaimed Stratford Festival, Huron Country Playhouse, Elgin Theatre, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and in the first Canadian mega-musical. Paul has studied voice & acting at the Franco Americain Cinema Theatre in Paris, France.  Mr. Aikins is a sought after adjudicator and is a regular judge for the anthem auditions for the Maple Leaf Corporation at the Air Canada Center in Toronto.  Mr. Aikins is currently in his 10th year as Department Head of Music Theatre at Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto. He has been the Artistic Director of many productions at ESA including A Chorus Line, Cabaret, Fosse, Into the Woods, West Side Story, Rent, Les Miserables, Seussical, Footloose, Cats. Anne of Green Gables, and Urinetown. He is the Founder/Creative Director for The Master Class Series and presents triple-threat and dance  intensives in Toronto and most recently in Mexico City.  Paul is the Artistic Director for 'Splash', the Show Choir Canada Champions 2012 - 2014. Check out the CBC special 'Great Lives of Canadian Teachers' and  TVO documentary 'Unsung:  Behind the Glee' featuring Paul and his show choir, which also won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Arts Documentary.  Paul has been training to be a certified Pilates Teacher through Balanced Body and Retrofit Pilates in Toronto.
