Dr. Kissel was inspired to work in the health industry by her love of sports and desire to help people excel in their disciplines. She has a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC).  To receive extra training in the management of sports injuries and research she completed the two year post graduate residency program in Sports Science at CMCC.  This designates her as a Chiropractic Sports Specialist.  Dr. Kissel has published academic works and is a clinician at CMCC.

Her expertise has been put into action as a team doctor for the Over the Top track club from 2008-2011 and the Canadian Junior Taekwondo team at the 2009 Junior PanAm Games in El Salvador.  She was also part of the medical team for the Canadian Track and Field and Canadian National Beach Volleyball Championships in 2010, the under 16 female Canadian National Soccer Championship in 2011, the Toronto Triathlon Festival in 2012 and 2013 and the Pan Am Games in Toronto 2015. Travelling to the Dominican Republic in 2009 with Chiropractors Without Borders was a life changing experience for Dr. Kissel.

Jaclyn was the captain of McMaster’s track and field team competing in the CIS National Meet as a sprinter. She now competes as a triathlete. As an athlete Dr. Kissel understands the role chiropractic treatment has in ensuring a body functions efficiently.
