I started working as a personal trainer in a small private gym, learning from all the other, more experienced trainers. They helped me to learn how to work with all different types of clients with varied needs and goals.
I currently work in a YMCA, with a much larger pool of clients, with an even greater diversity of needs, limitations, and goals. Each new client brings a new challenge to create a personal exercise experience. I enjoy the challenge and helping people realize their goals.
In my group classes, I specialize in HIIT, Tabata, and kickboxing. The kickboxing is my favorite as it offers a great opportunity to enjoy a workout while learning practical self defense techniques. I bring many years of experience to this class as I have 8 years of training in karate, 1 year in Taekwondo, and 2 years in MMA training which includes wrestling, boxing, jiu jitsu, and Muy Thai kickboxing.
