Throughout my youth and early adulthood I struggled with managing my weight. After graduating university, I had hit 200 lbs and was very unhappy with my weight and fitness level. I made a decision to change my life and after a year of hard work I managed to lose 75 lbs and gained a whole new perspective on life. Losing the weight was not what made me happier, but it allowed me to recognize my potential.
As a result of my weight loss journey I found a love and passion for fitness. I wanted to share that passion with everyone around me. I started teaching group fitness classes and had the opportunity to teach classes like bootcamp, kickboxing, step, BOSU, strength training and Zumba. It was a perfect job for me as a stay at home mom because it allowed me to stay in shape while spending the majority of my time at home with my kids.
My passion for fitness continued to grow and I started pursuing more personal goals outside of the teaching studio. I started running which led to competing in multiple 5k, 10k, half marathon races, triathlons and obstacle course races like the Spartan and Tough Mudder. The obstacle course racing led me to a recent opportunity to coach a team to compete in their first obstacle course race.
After 8 years of teaching group fitness classes I wanted to expand my knowledge and my ability to more directly help others achieve their fitness goals. This led me to pursue a career in personal training. In the summer of 2013 I completed my Personal Training certification through CanFitPro and began training individuals to achieve their fitness goals.
I love everything fitness but most of all I love helping individuals achieve what they thought was unachievable!
