Competition drives me. I started running at the age of twelve with the intention to receive a collegiate scholarship. I signed with Baylor my senior year of high school and went on to play a role in both the track and distance teams. After I graduated from college, my passion for fitness continued. Eager to share my love for fitness, I completed my 200-hour RYT program in February 2015.

My yoga journey started as a degree requirement senior year of college. When I first began my practice, I didn't love it. I didn't roll up my mat and think, "Yes! I feel great! Let's do that again."  After fulfilling my requirement, I went home for winter break and continued running. Less than four weeks after I stopped practicing yoga, old injuries started to reoccur one at a time. Converted. Back to the mat, I went.

Not only has yoga been essential for injury prevention, it has taught me so much about myself physically, emotionally and spiritually.  It has provided a space to know and understand my body, the difference between push and pain and complete acceptance.

One of my greatest hopes is for people to find that same love and acceptance wherever they are in their own journey. Life comes with highs and lows, and yoga parallels life in almost every aspect.
