BIO

When I was 4, I did not make it into the gymnastics school in the Ukraine because of my height. The gymnastics school admissions committee’s said that I would grow way over 5”4’, the world average height for female gymnasts. I grew to be 5”8’… That same year I tried for the ballet school and their answer was the same:”She is too tall”.

Naturally slim and flexible, I was left with the mainstream aerobics which were very popular when I was a teenager. Every respectable housewife had Jane Fonda video in her collection and I joined the fad. I was attending aerobics classes every day and soon my hobby turned into a job. I started subbing and then eventually working as an aerobics instructor for one of the many growing in popularity wellness centers in the Ukraine in the 90’s. This job supported me throughout my college years but it did not become my career.

After college, I started travelling the world with my first corporate job and I discovered yoga. It naturally fit my lifestyle and my body’s natural needs to move, to breathe, and to just be. Finally, I arrived to the point of body – mind – spirit intersection and I have been practicing yoga for 17 years now. In 2013, I took on formal yoga training with Yoga Haven studio in Scarsdale, NY and I am very grateful for this life-changing experience. I love sharing my passion for yoga with my clients.
