I am a motivated individual who learns quickly and adapts well to new environments. I am also dedicated to being organized and professional in my work and appearance. I have been described as having a warm smile and a positive, enthusiastic presence and I exert a strong work ethic in my daily assignments. I have extensive customer service and management skills from my professional and academic experiences. I am eager to continue expanding my knowledge and experience to promote an enriching career path in the interdisciplinary field of health and fitness.
I have 3 beautiful children, 1 dog and 4 cats. We live along the Columbia River in Vancouver, Washington. I was very active in sports and dance growing up and that passion for being active and living a healthy lifestyle has carried through into my adult years. I have been in the Health & Fitness Industry as a Group Fitness Instructor since 2012. Also, I have been First Aid and CPR certified for adults, children, and infants since 2012. I teach a variety of Group Fitness formats ranging from Yoga, Total Body Conditioning, Zumba, STRONG Nation, BODYPUMP, Cycle, etc. I teach anywhere between 5-12 classes per week and have been since 2012.
I took the Practical Yoga course online through AFAA. It's a Sunrise Savasana format...so more flex and flow and some power yoga movements. I attached my cert to this email along with an example of one of my yoga sets. I do show progressions and regressions as I move through the savasanas.
I currently sub for Yoga classes. I taught them about 3-4 times per week last spring and summer at 24 Hour Fitness and at the Conestoga Rec Center listed in my Professional Experience sections.
