Yoga means to yoke- to join, or unite. For me, that is exactly what it is all about- connecting body, breath, mind and spirit. Recalling the very first class I ever attended- it was hard, and I felt nervous, inflexible and unsure- but I still remember leaving feeling grounded, and so present. It became a safe place for me to explore and reconnect to myself, and my body. I knew I wanted to learn more. In 2016 I travelled to India to train with Julia Mccabe and Sarah Zandbeek, to immerse myself in this practice, as well as self study. I didn't set any expectations for my time there, but at the end of the 200hr Yoga Alliance Teacher Training I felt the call the teach and share what I had learned. Since then, I have been teaching my own blend of playfully sequenced hatha, vinyasa, and restorative yoga with emphasis on breath and movement, creating a kind of moving meditation. My intention as a teacher is to help others become free in their bodies and breath, and therefore allow them find and connect to the inner wisdom and stillness that is already within each of us. Namaste.
