- Tara Verma
Tara Verma is a direct disciple of world renowned teacher, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Deeply inspired by the teachings of the Art of Living Foundation, Tara has been teaching yoga since 2013. Tara believes that yoga is a practical tool to heal our bodies, find our breath and enliven our spirits. Passionate and committed to making the world a better place, one yoga pose at a time, Tara is also the Director of Yogathon Rise for a Cause a fundraiser that helps provide children in India with access to a holistic education. Founded in Toronto in 2012, Yogathon has grown to become a global event in 10 countries and more than 45 cities around the world. Tara also organizes and teaches at Yoga Under the Stars in Toronto, where 600 yogis participate in an evening of yoga under the open skies.
Tara also teaches educational and self-development programs with the Art of Living Foundation. These programs provide individuals with tools including yoga, breath and meditation to manage stress and negative emotions in a healthy manner, and equip participants with a toolkit for sustainable happiness, peace and health.
