- Nya Riddle
Hi yogis and fellow travellers, I'm Nya! Here's a little bit of my story: I am from the Big Island of Hawai'i and I moved to Portland in 2015. I began my journey with a serious asana practice in the winter of 2016, and within a few months I was a dedicated student of a studio called Yoga for Life. Like many others, yoga came to me in a vulnerable time of need both physically and internally. What started as a way to strengthen my body very quickly also became a way to strengthen and cultivate my soul. I completed my first teacher training program with Yoga for Life in November 2017, and I have been teaching ever since! My love for yoga and meditation has begun to define who I am as an individual, and I find that with each new day of a yogic lifestyle, I reach my true self a little more genuinely. When I am not practicing asanas, I am pursuing my higher education in psychology, backpacking around the pacific northwest, or playing the guitar and/or drums. I believe that life is just as beautiful as we can mindfully perceive it to be, and that yoga is a wonderful way to craft that perception. Aloha, and namaste!
