Stephanie Decker

I grew up and currently live in beautiful Taos, a small ski town in northern New Mexico.  I've loved activity and adventure my whole life.  I lived in New Zealand in high school, received my undergraduate degree in archaeology and worked on sites ranging from west Texas to Washington, DC, to Hopkins, Belize.  I found my second career after wandering into a small "gym" in El Paso populated with a super up-beat senior crowd only to find out it was an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation facility - and I immediately recognized the importance of helping LIVING people feel as happy and healthy as possible (rather than digging through the left overs of peoples past - which is still an awesome pursuit).  I received my Master's Degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2001, moved to Vermont which I stayed until work in Taos finally became available.  I have been here since.  

I am now step mom to an amazing 17 year old boy/man and enjoy spending time with family in our hometown.  I road ride, hike, and continue to have as many adventures as much as possible.  I have completed a number of century rides through Death Valley, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2011, competed in my first half-Ironman in 2013 and am currently looking for the next fun thing to do.
