I graduated Magna Cum-Laude from West Chester University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I taught first grade for a few years then became pregnant with twins and was bed-ridden for three months during my pregnancy. During this "rest" time, I gained so much weight that I never thought I'd be able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and shape. I was so determined to get back in shape that I ended up in better shape than I was before the birth of my twins. At that point, I decided I wanted to share my passion for fitness with others, so I got certified and began teaching. Fitness is part of my family's life. My husband and I instilled the values of fitness onto our boys' lives, and now as they grow older, they are increasingly more interested in fitness. I'm featured in the book Winning the Fat Wars for Moms. The book is about how moms get back to their pre-pregnancy weight and the fitness that got them there.
