Nicole’s yoga journey began in 2000, when she started taking classes as part of her Dance Education minor at Illinois State University. As she began to feel the transformation yoga had on her life, she felt inspired to share the gift of yoga with others. In 2011, she began teaching yoga at the Wisconsin Athletic Club. She became a Registered Yoga Teacher in May 2016 upon completion of a 200 hour training program at Yama Yoga, through Yoga Alliance. She went on to teach classes at some of her favorite studios nearby, and can be currently found teaching Alignment Flow and Deep Stretch classes at The Barefoot Haven. Drawing upon various styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, and Power yoga, her classes are an energetic and reflective expression of yoga, that emphasize alignment based movement led by the breath. She believes that the mind-body connection teaches us how to live a fulfilling, healthy, and happy life on and off the yoga mat. She encourages students to play with their edge, while providing a safe, encouraging, and nonjudgmental environment where each individual can achieve their full potential.
