Charlotte Andrews

I have always been a lover of fitness and a true gym enthusiast. I first stepped on to a yoga mat as I knew I needed to implement more recovery in to my practice.

It took a few different classes and teachers but it wasn’t long until I was hooked. Yoga not only helped me with recovery, it also helped me focus, reduce stress and build a different type of strength and stamina. I found it also complimented the other types of movement I was doing off the yoga mat.

Due to an injury I ended up having reconstructive hip surgery, my recovery was a long 12 months but

It was during this period that I decided to train as a yoga teacher. After years of a dedicated practice I had experienced many of the benefits yoga has to offer and wanted to share it with others.

Since completing my 200TT in 2016 I have taught over 1800 hours of classes and workshops.

I have also had the pleasure of combining yoga with my love of travel and have taught overseas, at both retreats and luxury resorts.

Over the years I have completed several courses in yoga, anatomy and human movement. Most recently I have studied and qualified in Functional Range Conditioning, FRC® which focuses on Joint health.

Off the mat I like to spend as much time as I can outside in nature, my favourite place to be is next to the ocean. I love dogs, I like to draw and would quite happily eat pizza every day.

My Approach

My classes are playful yet strong, which will challenge both mind and body.

As well as honouring the traditional roots of yoga, there is an emphasis on anatomy, biomechanics and movement’s science in my class. I think it’s important for my students to understand the reasons and benefits of why we are doing what we’re doing in classes so they obtain a better understanding of their bodies.

I like to incorporate strength and functional movement to help build stronger bodies which are more resilient to stress and injuries.

I believe the combination of yoga and mobility based movement is key to keep you moving better, for longer, both on and off the yoga mat.
