Sydney Hiller

I have been physically active, and an athlete for the majority of my life. I was a competitive field hockey player and gymnast until graduating High School. I was the Captain of the Varsity Gymnastics team for two-years, and the Varsity Field Hockey Team. At the same time I played on the Spirit Eagles Elite Field Hockey Team and traveled to play in National Field Hockey Festivals. When I entered college my sports-career ended, but my physical activity did not. I obtained an internship at a small-group fitness facility that offers personal training, small group training, and large group training. I shadowed two personal trainers, while studying and applying the principles of Applied Functional Science. After a successful internship, I studied for the NASM CPT exam. Upon passing the exam I began working as a Personal Trainer. Currently, I am a student-employee at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am a Senior Kinesiology Major, and a Campus Personal Trainer. I am also a Physical Therapy Aide at a nearby facility, Pivot Physical Therapy.
