I have been working out as far back as I can remember. I started in gymnastics when I was 3 and did that through high school. College is when I started working out in the gym. After college, I started my career as a flight attendant and had to find another option for exercise. I focused all my attention on running. I ran several 5K's, 10k's and 2 marathons. In 2008 I tore my ACL and that was a long hard fought recovery for me. My running days are behind me, but my love for working out just continues to grow. Back in a gym setting, I participated in all the gyms had to offer, and I joined a Bootcamp class. I thrived on the competitive aspect and comradery of it. Tabata Bootcamp found me and it has truly been a gift from God and life-changing experience! I got certified in May of 2015 and started my first boot camp in June. In January 2016 I became a Master Trainer with Tabata Bootcamp. I taught classes online and in my home gym.
I am always learning and challenging myself in the gym. My latest goal was it compete in 2 bodybuilding competitions. My first competition was bikini and then I also did a figure competition. I absolutely loved the workouts, but the diet was a huge challenge for me and my family.
Presently, I am doing personal training. I know how difficult it can be to have a workout plan and then stick to it. So, I tailor the plan to my client's ability, time, and goals. Then I hold them accountable! Each week they must send me pictures so I can create a new workout for the week, we talk about the past week including the challenges and accomplishments they had, their nutrition, and how they can be better. The best part is it is all done online, text and by phone. The idea is at the end of our time together the client will be able to create their own workout schedule, know how to do the exercises with perfect form, have the mental endurance to challenge and hold themselves accountable.
