Laurie Pullen

Laurie took her first yoga class over 12 years ago, and was immediately drawn to the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the practice.  She completed her first teacher training with Jonny Kest at the Center for Yoga (Michigan) and received her 200-level RYT in December, 2007. Laurie developed a 7-week yoga course for young adults, and taught 2-3 sessions for over five years.  The course was built for beginning and advanced students and athletes and integrated hatha and vinyasa flows to build strength, restorative stretching postures, and meditation. Laurie has maintained a regular practice of meditation and pranayama and different yoga styles including Ashtanga, vinyasa, Jivamukti, gentle hatha, and Yin for over 12 years. She completed her second 200-level teacher training with the Durga Devi and Shiva Das at the House of Yoga (Michigan) in June, 2018.  Laurie is currently on staff and teaches at the House of Yoga. Laurie’s previous training includes studying and teaching classical ballet and Aikido. She believes that yoga is for every body, and continues to learn every time she steps onto her mat. Her classes offer uplifting experiences that encourage students to explore the relationship between their body and mind, to achieve balance, and to feel refreshed.
