Rebecca Clarke

My children inspired me to run (away from home that is). What started as a 15 minute mind clearing exercise after a day with two under 2’s resulted in me starting a running journey that so far has consisted of me completing numerous  - 5k, 10k, half marathon races and 2 world major marathons. 

 

With every mile that I ran my "before children" confidence began to return and with each stride I decided that I would finally reach for the one thing that I had wanted to do my whole life that was to become a personal trainer & fitness instructor. 

 

I say my whole life - from the age of 16 right up to the day I signed up for my training course (when I was 40)  so more accurately the majority of my life.  I had spent my career in Retail Management feeling like I was in the wrong job and sometimes you just have to go for it!  So I did and the Rebel Fitness Club was born!

 

Why Rebel I hear you ask?  Having been a lifelong Star Wars fan and never enjoyed going with the flow I felt Rebel stood for what I believe in and I’m passionate about.   Rebelling against slimming clubs, quick fix diets, juice and shake meal replacements and any type of hot drink that promises to make you lose pounds just by drinking it!!

 

With the Rebel Fitness Club I want to build an alliance where you can eat real food, exercise for enjoyment and feel great from the inside out by swapping quick fixes for a long term, sustainable lifestyle changes.
