Movement has always been a part of my life, from a small child I was classically trained in Russian Dance and Ballet. Upon moving to the United States, I trained and worked as a professional ballroom dance instructor in multiple studios in Dallas before moving to Jacksonville to open and manage a ballroom dance studio. Fifteen years ago, I was introduced to yoga as a means to rehabilitate my dance injuries, and I quickly fell in love with the physical practice as well as the spiritual connection between breath and movement.
Upon completion of my 200YTT in 2013, I began a karma class entitled Yoga for UU. This was my first and a wonderful teaching experience, those 2 plus years allowing me to instruct a wide variety of students with multiple ranges of experience and needs. Additionally, I taught at the Yoga Collaborative and for SOUL Fitness-- boutique gym focusing on post weight loss patients. Ever a student of yoga, I am currently pursuing my 500YTT with Yoga Den and am teaching multiple days per week in a variety of styles and levels of yoga.
To this day, I love to volunteer at my children’s school and Church introducing “yoga magic” to young beautiful souls.
Yoga can be a serious practice to which I bring a lighthearted energetic approach. Through a well thought out flow, I safely guide each student on their own personal journey of self-discovery no matter their physical ability or yoga experience.
