Brian Roy Garland

Brian Roy-Garland, MS PT, RYT-500

 

As a competitive gymnast since an early age, Brian has always been consumed with the body’s ability to create shapes. In college, he studied anatomy & physiology, functional movement, injury and rehabilitation earning a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002.

 

Brian began practicing yoga in 2001, and it was love. Driven by the desire to share the benefits in spirit, mind, and body he found in the practice; he arrived in the seat of yoga and yoga anatomy teacher since 2007. Brian’s formal yoga training includes Axis Yoga and Kindness Yoga in Denver, CO and he is a certified teacher of The ThreesPhysiYoga Method based in NYC.

 

Brian equips his students with the tools for a safe and efficient yoga practice for life using light hearted awareness of body and breath at the core of every class. His teaching is layered with mindful alignment, , injury prevention, anatomy, and encouragement. Classes are ever changing based on the needs of his students and his own personal continuous study of the all the wonders of the human body.

 

Whether a beginner or a more seasoned yogi, expect to find muscles you never knew you had, get stronger and stack your bones in new ways. Therapy balls, therabands/loops and lots of props are regularly found in Brian’s classes.
