As a former Special Education for 5 years, I have always loved to teach others, and revel in small growth overtime within an individual. It was during my first year of teaching within the school system that I began to yearn for something more, and found anxiety of a high stress job weighing on me. In order to counteract anxiety, I turned back to yoga after being on and off with my practice for about 3-4 years. I started my practice back up in full force. I took a leap into my 200hr teacher training one month after marrying my husband. I began teaching 6+ classes a week once I was certified, in addition to my full time Special Education teaching job. After 2 years of long days split between two passions, and once my daughter was born, I decided that I needed to be closer to home. I was offered a position managing a yoga studio in the Chicago Suburbs where I had already been teaching for two years. I have been able to lead workshops and 200hr Yoga Alliance Certified teacher trainings for the past 5 years. I most recently took the leap into my 300hr training, and I am less than 60 hours away from being certified RYT- 500hr. This job has brought me more inner peace, self-reflection, and ability to reach a vast variety of diverse humans.
