Angela here, part time private practice physical therapist and yogaholic! After completing my degree in Physical Therapy in 2000, I proceeded to obtain my group fitness certification in 2001. I taught step areobics for 2 and 1/2 years at my local YMCA and was able to participate in the Fit Bodies program in Jamaica in 2003 at both Grand Lido and Breezes. I was a great experience. I led power walks, and taught both step and aqua. My interest in Yoga began in University and while living in northern Alberta, I became heavily involved. I entered a teacher training program in April 2004. I am level I Stott Pilates Certified, as well recently completed an additional RYT 200hr Yoga Alliance, 50hr yin and 40-hr Rocket certification. I have taught everything from beginner and intermediate Vinyasa classes, kids, yoga, Yin yoga, acro yoga, and Power Yoga. Recently, I have started teaching a fusion class call physi-yoga where each class covers a specific condition, joint or concept. I love it, clients love it. Currently I reside in Cold Lake Alberta and am a co-owner of Yoga Cold Lake. I have been blessed to able to attend many workshops and conferences with some amazing yogis such as Sadie Nardini, Chrsitine Price-Clark, David Robson, Janet Hawkins, Kino McGregor, Leslie Kaminoff, Harmony Lichty, Bo Forbes, Maria Garre and many more. In 2017, I have spread my yoga wings and began teaching retreats IN Kelowna B.C. and Costa Rica. In my career as a Physical Therapist I have incorporate my yoga practice in endless ways. I place a very strong emphasis on client education and feel that my ability to explain anatomy, pathology and movement/exercise is my greatest asset. That said, on the mat, it shoud be fun. I use analogy, music and humour to infuse my classes with energy, education and a sense of whimsy!! Namaste!!
