Akisha Chaney

Akisha Chaney lives in Washington D.C., with her husband of 20 years and three beautiful girls.  She is licensed in Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Body Combat, Body Pump and Kick Boxing. She has always enjoyed exercise but didn’t take it seriously until after she gave birth to her third child in 2008. The weight was not going away. She decided to do something about it. She joined a gym with a daycare so she had no excuses, worked hard and reached her goals; been hooked ever since.  Her biggest fitness accomplishment came in November of 2011.  Where she competed in a National bodybuilding and figure competition in which she placed second overall in the figure category.  She enjoys teaching and loves to see the students having fun. Her bright smile is contagious and makes participants forget the fact that they are actually exercising.  She encourages participants to challenge themselves; for nothing is too great to conquer! She enjoys cooking, traveling and of course, exercising!  She’s fun and full of energy and looks forward to helping others achieve their fitness and health goals!  Come and SWEAT with her all in the name of FITNESS!
