Jaquelyn Kurz

Jaquelyn Andrea Kurz, a Guatemalan national residing in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada, has beenrecognized  thanks to her successful career as a Zumba Instructor. With her passion for dancing and zest for life, Jaqueline has become a pillar of inspiration capturing the hearts of Latinos both domestic and abroad. Jackie, as she is more commonly known, has been recognized by the community for her philanthropic support and work with organizations such as the American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Susan G. Komen, local schools, and food banks. A source of positive energy, Jackie uses her influence to bring awareness to causes such as AIDS, healthy living, and the importance of physical fitness focused in dance and strength training. In 2014, Jackie along with fellow Zumba Instructors, set the record for the largest Zumba event in the history of the United States. This massive event was attended by over 6,000 registered participants and was held at Freemont Street, in the heart of the City of Las Vegas. Because of her relentless dedication to improving the lives of others through dance and Zumba Fitness and for her selfless dedication and service to community, Jackie was awarded the Silver State Award for Best Zumba Instructor and was recognized as one of the 100 most influential women in Nevada. Licensed Zumba Instructor, Aqua Fitness instructor, Professional photographer and AFAA Certified, are some of the educational background of this artist and Fitness Professional. With her strong command of English and Spanish as well as her diverse experiences from living in Guatemala and the United States, Jackie continues to raise awareness for various causes while inspiring the community to take action one Zumbathon at a time.
