Sonja Modesti

Greetings from the Rocky Mountains...and one of the fittest areas of our beautiful country: Colorado! My name is Sonja Modesti and by day I am an instructor of English and Communications for high school-aged students, but by early morning and night, my students range in age from teenagers to senior citizens, my classroom becomes that of gymnasiums and studios, and my "course work" is anything but typical! I have been a public educator for the past five years, but my career as a teacher first began when I was 16 years old and working in a family-centered fitness center in Minnesota. Since then, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of facets in gyms, wellness centers, and studios across the country. My experiences include group fitness instruction, personal training, group fitness management, and training with high school and collegiate athletes. Most would describe me as a highly energetic, motivating, and passionate person. I enjoy the excitement of group fitness and strive to bring a fresh and entertaining element to my instruction. Each person in my class and every client I work with would attest to the personal committment I have to my job and the efforts I put into creating a personal relationship with every individual in my classes. Besides my work in the fitness industry, I also enjoy my work as a high school teacher, a graduate student, and a professional musician.
