jabreel Mahmoud

Born and raised in New England. Jabreel "DJ Dcoded" found music at an early age. Listening to radio for hours on end to make homemade mixtapes his love for music was evident. He always found himself grabbing the latest music from music stores and from friends at school who had the latest mixtape. After a few years of college, he made his way to Seattle where he met one of his best friends and started to manage local artist in the area. Still trying to find himself musically, he finally made his way to NYC and enrolled in Scratch DJ Academy.

DJ Dcoded musical taste is deeply rooted in classic 90’s hip-hop and late 80’s Heavy Metal. Typically mixing 90s hip-hop/R&B, Top 40, 80s pop/rock and today's top hits for a memorable time. Since graduating from Scratch he has DJed around NYC including, Fat Buddha, Mr. Purple, Vandal, Kimoto Rooftop, and SoHo House; also places like; Library Bar (LA), SoHo House (LA), The Chip Shop (London, UK) and Westside Radio (London, UK). He also contributes weekly mixes to the Trip Digital Radio show on the Dash Radio App.
