Kristi Ewasko

I started gymnastics at the age of 8 when my parents were tired of me flipping around the house.  This love for activity only grew as I began training for qualification to the Junior Olympics and working toward a scholarship in the NCAA.  As I finished up my career in 2004 at the Division 1 level, I realized my love for coaching.  Naturally I fell into coaching gymnastics and began my journey working at a local fitness facility as a personal trainer on the side.  This is where I began creating relationships through a stretch class and 1-on-1 sessions to watch people reach goals they never thought possible.  Whether these goals involved losing weight, gaining muscle, or simply knowing how to get up off the ground if they were to fall down, it was so exciting to watch them accomplish each and every one of them!

I moved in 2008 to take an assistant coaching position at a university which allowed me to work part-time at a local fitness facility.  I was able to help start the Les Mills RPM program at this site during my first year there.  I continued to grow my education on nutrition, biomechanics, kinesiology, and got involved with training CrossFit.  I transitioned from coaching at the university to being at the fitness center regularly in order to lead CrossFit classes, RPM, and personal train members.  I love fitness and encouraging people to try something they never thought they could do.  I enjoy when they realize what we do in our session affects their abilities away from the gym as well.  One of my favorite moments is when people start believing in themselves and feel good about the journey they are on!
