I am originally from Peru. I have a bachelor in Civil Engineering and I have always taught Math. I have two daughters and I moved to Canada in 2003.
Since I moved here, I started a new life and even though I started to attend the community center gym regularly. Once I attended three classes of Zumba and I loved it. encouraged my daughter to become a Zumba instructor and she did. I started to attend the Langara YMCA as a Zumba participant and then I was encouraged to do one song, and then 2 and so. Then I was asked to become a Zumba and Zumba Gold instructor and I became a volunteer at the YMCA. I taught a lot of Zumba classes but the Y was my main place to teach. At the YMCA we have the opportunity to get trained for a other fitness disciplines and that is how I ended having other training. Currently I teach a variety of aquatic group fitness classes in UBC Aquatic Centre, Watermania and Minoru in Richmond and at the Langara YMCA.
