My name is Marta-Lee. I grew up in rural Canada and now live in the capital city of Ottawa where I teach all the things I love to do.

As a child, I was very active. I loved the outdoors and exploring. I took figure skating from the time I was 8 to 17 reaching my gold test free skating before going off to college where I studied travel and tourism.

I became a mother at 37 and again at 39. I have two beautiful girls. Both of which were gifted with ADD inattentive and severe learning disabilities. They are both highly intelligent but learn differently than others. Raising my children has taught me many skills, such as. patience and the ability to think outside of the box in order to make learning fun.

In 1996 I designed a line of chronic pain relief products for my father. Those products were picked up by Shopper's Home Health Care, Canada's largest healthcare retailer and sold nationwide. I worked out of the Ottawa Hospital General Campus for ten years working in conjunction with both the OT and Physio departments to design daily living aids for people with chronic pain, terminal illness and disabilities.

In 2013 I had a serious accident. I dove head first down my basement stairs. I am very lucky to be alive. The road to recovery was long and arduous. I learned what it is like to lose all that you take for granted. Today, I am stronger, healthier and happier than I was at 40. Life is beautiful.

Today, I teach 16 Aquafit classes a week. In the winter I add in 15 hours teaching skating and enjoy teaching skiing on Sundays. I spend summers enjoying the beauty of my world at the cottage.

I think being able to work with you a few weeks of the year would be the sweet icing on the cake.

Thank you for considering me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Marta-Lee
