Jennifer is a Group Fitness Instructor. She started her health and wellness journey seven years ago with Zumba and she got hooked. Since then, she's become certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold Toning and Aqua Zumba. She also is certified in Strong Nation - Zumba's HITT class, where music drives the moves. Continuing in dance fitness she also got certified in WERQ dance fitness. She completed her 200 Registered Yoga Teacher training, where she earned a scholarship for the training in Fiji. She also has certifications in Les Mills Body Flow and Les Mills Barre. She's been teaching online classes steadily since March 2020, but also teaches classes outdoors, corporate hires and private classes. Through teaching these classes she's found empowerment and joy in helping others find their new active lifestyle. She approaches fitness with the same philosophy as dance, teaching her students the basic steps which can be progressed and advances them toward their individual goals. When not teaching or taking classes, Jennifer is busy being a mom, drinking all the best coffee, and writing all the things. Jennifer also is a licensed Hypnotherapist and meditation specialist. She learned that it is a great compliment to the cardio she gets from Zumba. Taking some time each day to sit in silence and introspect is amazing.
Meditation is a great tool. It allows for introspection, relaxation and mindful connectedness. Adding writing to your meditation practice has many benefits- sometimes it helps us purge worrisome thoughts or attitudes, it can be a liberation for emotions, and it allows us the choice to either revisit the work later or release it peacefully.
Writing as Meditation begins a process of personal change. We become more aware of our inner world of meaning, and as we write, we begin to process of our ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions. By channeling our energies from something psychological to something tangible, we physically write the energies down in a way that helps to reveal our inner message. Through this practice we gain a sense of power and purpose.
In addition Dr. JFF teaches Professional and Technical writing to University students and writes novels in her spare time.
