- Ashley Boone
Ashley has been involved in her local yoga community for the past 13 years. As a teacher and studio owner for 5 years, she is committed to and inspired by movement and mindfulness practices that evolve with the individual practitioner. No matter the differing levels of abilities in her classes, Ashley teaches safe alignment principles, encouraging a calm and steady mindset, alongside balancing true strength and flexibility training. A firm believer that any movement practice must be tailored to the student, Ashley has developed a keen eye for modification, use of props, and verbal cues enabling each member of the class to experience the practice as they need it, that day. Ashley’s classes are an informed and creative moment-to-moment exploration of the physical, mental, and emotional domains of yogic and meditation practices.
Having competed and coached in artistic gymnastics, Ashley is passionate about physical expression and sustainability. Her yoga training includes NCCP level 1, 200 hours of hatha yoga with Marianne Wells, 300 hours of vinyasa yoga and somatic practices with Real Evolution Yoga, and 75 hours of restorative Thai yoga massage. She founded and operated Zen Muskoka Yoga Studio in 2013 and Muskoka Yoga Festival in 2016 in Bracebridge, Ontario. When she’s not in studio, you can find Ashley leading yoga and surf retreats in California, Costa Rica, Indonesia, and anywhere the waves are best!
